Re-think Housing Studio is an intellectual platform to rethink the current Syrian housing prototypes and reproduce them with a more humane and contemporary sensibility. The Studio is led by Minerva Fadel and structured into three main teams of research, community and design. Our teams are made up of Syrian architects and researchers who are interested in making a key difference in Syrians' lives via more participatory architecture there. All current members met in Aleppo when we studied architecture. We are all influenced by the experience of living and studying in Aleppo, yet coming from different social backgrounds and different Syrian provinces. Our aim is to critically challenge Syria's housing status-quo using this diversity.
